I have produced and worked closely on a number of arts publications, some have been catalogues produced alongside an exhibition(s) I curated, while others were magazines published in editions and I have played the role of ‘Editor’ for. Whether as Curator or Editor, these publications have often required teams of people and supporters to bring them to fruition.
To me, there is a romance to the physical publication. To the hand-held object that you own. That slips into your pocket or tucks into your bag, and can be pulled out at any given moment to be read. To the feeling of good quality paper and the smell of fresh ink.
